Euro Connection, glavna platforma za koprodukciju kratkih filmova koja za cilj ima poticanje partnerstva između producentskih kompanija u Europi oko kvalitetnih kratkometražnih projekata, ove se godine održao se po 15. put u okviru jednoga od najvećih sajmova kratkoga filma u Clermont-Ferrandu. Ovaj koprodukcijski forum za europske producente, televizijske kuće, distributere i financijske podupiratelje koji traže međunarodne koprodukcijske partnere ili projekte održava se u obliku dvodnevnog događanja pitchinga i umrežavanja.
Ove godine u programu je sudjelovalo 14 odabranih projekata, a njihovi su producenti imali priliku sudjelovati u online pripremnim radionicama, pitchingu i predstavljanju pred 150 profesionalaca iz struke, umrežavanju s mogućim koproducentima i individualnim konzultacijama.
U suradnji sa CEE Animation programom, voditeljica DKE – Ureda MEDIA RH Martina Petrović pripremila je MEDIA radionicu za sudionike prvog Animation Laba koji se održavao tijekom Festivala kratkog filma.
Osim toga, kao korespondentica iz Hrvatske za Euro Connection, Martina Petrović sudjelovala je na samome pitching forumu, ujedno i kao podrška hrvatskom projektu "Prema vjetru" Tomislava Šobana (režija / koscenarist), Marina Lisjaka (koscenarist) i Tajane Bakote (producentica / Izvan fokusa). Navedeni je projekt prvo prošao nekoliko evaluacijskih razina; najprije je domaći žiri, koji je djelovao u sastavu: redateljica animiranih filmova i animatorica Petra Zlonoga, producentica Morana Ikić Komljenović (Little Red Dot) te voditeljica DKE ‒ Ureda MEDIA Hrvatske Martina Petrović, predložio i odabrao navedeni kratki igrani film na daljnje ocjenjivanje koje je proveo međunarodni žiri u sklopu programa Euro Connection 2023. Naposljetku je, od ukupno 26 finalista, odabran u uži krug kao jedan od 14 projekata koji su imali priliku predstaviti se na navedenom koprodukcijskom forumu kratkog filma filmskog sajma u Clermont-Ferrandu.

Euro Connection, the main platform for the co-production of short films, which aims to encourage partnerships between production companies in Europe aimed at quality short film projects, took place this year for the 15th time within one of the largest short film festivals in Clermont-Ferrand. This co-production forum for European producers, broadcasters, distributors, and financial backers looking for international co-production partners or projects takes place as a two-day pitching and networking event.
This year, 14 selected projects participated in the programme, and their producers had the opportunity to participate in online preparatory workshops, pitching and presentation in front of 150 professionals, networking with possible co-producers, and individual consultations.
In cooperation with the CEE Animation programme, Head of CED - MEDIA Office Croatia, Martina Petrović, prepared a MEDIA workshop for the participants of the first Animation Lab, which was held during the International Short Film Festival – Clermont – Ferrand.
In addition, as a correspondent from Croatia for Euro Connection, Martina Petrović participated in the pitching forum itself, as well as to support the Croatian project ‘Into the Wind’ by Tomislav Šoban (director / co-writer), Marin Lisjak (co-writer) and Tajana Bakota (producer / Outside focus). The mentioned project went through several evaluation levels; the domestic jury, which was composed of: the director of animated films and animator Petra Zlonoga, producer Morana Ikić Komljenović (Little Red Dot), and Head of CED - MEDIA Office Croatia, Martina Petrović, proposed and selected the project for further international evaluation. Finally, out of a total of 26 finalists, it was selected in the shortlist as one of the 14 projects that had the opportunity to be presented at the co-production forum of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
