MIDPOINT Cold Open program je usavršavanja osmišljen za izgradnju vještina nezavisnih producenata zainteresiranih za prelazak s dugometražnih filmova na sadržaje igranih serija, gdje će imati priliku raditi s renomiranim stručnjacima i umrežiti se s gostima koprodukcijskog foruma When East Meets West.
U sklopu programa sudionicima se nudi niz predavanja, grupnih sesija i dubinskih rasprava. Kako bi osigurao najsofisticiraniji pristup obuci, Cold Open surađuje s etabliranim i cijenjenim profesionalcima iz europske industrije.
Pružajući praktična znanja povezana s razvojem, produkcijom i financiranjem sadržaja dramskih serija u Europi, program će svoje sudionike upoznati s cjelokupnim krajolikom i prioritetima industrije, usporediti narativne i konceptualne strukture između igranih i scenariziranih serija te pružiti praktične vještine financiranja i distribucije scenariziranog sadržaja serije.
Ovaj jednokratni događaj dio je raznolikog industrijskog programa koprodukcijskog foruma When East Meets West i održat će se od 19. do 22. siječnja 2025. u Trstu, u Italiji.
Prijave su otvorene za neovisne europske producente koji imaju iskustvo u produkciji igranih filmova i žele prijeći na vrhunske serijske sadržaje.
Za prijavu je potrebno otvoriti račun na stranici When East Meets West Visitor Page i slijediti upute unutar obrasca za prijavu. Materijali koje je potrebno priložiti su osobni profil i profil tvrtke, motivacijsko pismo i pitch serije (nije obavezno). Rok za prijavu je 5. studenoga 2024.g.! Svi prijavljeni bit će obaviješteni o rezultatima odabira u prosincu 2024. godine.
Kotizacija za sudjelovanje u programu iznosi 250 eura po sudioniku za cijelu sesiju. Navedeni iznos uključuje akreditaciju, školarinu, dva ručka i pristup WEMW programu. Putni troškovi i smještaj nisu uključeni.

MIDPOINT Cold Open is designed to build skills among independent producers interested in moving from feature films to fiction series content, where they will have the opportunity to work with renowned experts and network with guests of the When East Meets West Co-Production Forum.
Within the programme, participants are offered a variety of lectures, group sessions and in-depth discussions. To ensure the most sophisticated approaches to training, Cold Open works with established and respected professionals from the European industry.
Offering practical knowledge connected to the developing, producing and financing of drama series content in Europe, the program will familiarize its participants with the overall landscape and priorities of the industry, compare narrative and concept structures between features and scripted series, and provide hands-on skills in the financing and distribution of scripted series content.
This one-off event is embedded within the diverse industry program of When East Meets West Co-production Forum and will take place from January 19-22, 2025, in Trieste, Italy.
This program targets European independent producers who have background in feature-film producing and wish to move into high-end series content.
To apply to the program, please create an account on the When East Meets West Visitor Page and follow the instructions on the submission form. The required materials are personal and company profile, motivation letter and series pitch (optional). Application deadline is November 5, 2024! All applicants will be informed about the selection results in December 2024.
The participation fee for the programme is 250 euros per participant for the entire session. The fee includes accreditation, tuition fee, two lunches and access to the on-site WEMW programme. Travel costs and accommodation are not included.
